Network for Smart Logistics
Free for Startups!

Bring your technology from the lab into the world of logistics: develop, test, and validate it in the 5G test bed at the Port of Duisburg—with a makerspace, scientific expertise, and a strong industrial network.
Develop. Test. Validate.
Build a prototype in the Makerspace, test it in the 5G test bed under port conditions, and validate it with real users—all in one place. The short distances between these steps significantly shorten your development cycles.
Faster Time to Market
The CellPort Masterclass helps technology-focused startup teams test innovative hardware, 5G, and smart logistics solutions under real-world conditions and bring them to market more quickly.
Local Infrastructure and Expertise
Take advantage of the 5G test bed at the Duisburg Multimodal Terminal at logport VI, develop prototypes in our workspace, and benefit from scientific expertise and a strong network of industry, research, and investors.

The 5G Test Bed at the Duisburg Multimodal Terminal
Testing technologies where they will eventually be used: in a modern, demanding logistics environment. The 5G test bed at the Duisburg Multimodal Terminal at logport VI in Duisburg-Walsum offers the opportunity to develop, test, and validate innovative applications under real-world conditions.
Possible areas of application:
Industrial Wireless, Industrial IoT, Smart Logistics, Industry 4.0
Sensors and Networked Hardware
Autonomous and semi-autonomous systems
AI-based applications
Semiconductor and Communications Technologies
Solutions for Infrastructure and Asset Monitoring
In the test environment, you’ll put the prototype you developed in the makerspace through its paces under realistic port logistics conditions. This isn’t a theoretical test scenario—it’s a concrete, real-world application. You’ll gain early access to potential users and receive direct feedback from the field.

The CellPort Masterclass
A 12-month program in which startup teams work specifically on technological, strategic, and entrepreneurial issues. Experienced experts mentor the teams and connect them with partners from the business, academic, and financial sectors. There is a three-month overlap between batches, allowing teams from different rounds to network with one another.

Workspace & Makerspace
Technical infrastructure for hardware teams to develop, adapt, and refine prototypes from the initial design stage through to a functional demonstrator.
Equipment: 3D printers for various materials and applications, CNC milling machines, metal milling machines, laser cutters, soldering and electronics workstations, tools for assembly, modification, and repair, work surfaces for assembly and prototyping
